U4ia hosted the Mr. Gay Ohio All American pageant on June 10 to an appreciative crowd. Eight contestants competing were local favorites Alex Perry, Pappy Mitchell, and Shaun Paul Thomas; Dennis Jay, of Lima; Todd Michael, of Columbus; Kevin McGee, Michael Thompson, and Terry Bates, of Canton.

Ending his reign this night was Dean Matthews, former Mr. Gay Cleveland, who also emceed the pageant and performed several numbers. David Pace, Mr. All America 1994, entertained the crowd with several

numbers, some of which were from his current cassette recording. Chris Graham, Mr. Gulf Coast All American, danced through-

The three categories of competition were: swimwear, formal wear, and talent. The talent competition was especially fierce with the majority being singers, along with country dancing and gymnastics. Third runner up was Michael Thompson; second runner up, Kevin McGee; first runner up, Todd Michael; and winner, Alex Perry.

Jennifer Phillips won the Miss U4ia pageant that Friday night, May 27.

May 13 and U4ia equaled the Miss Ohio Continental Pageant, featuring Jessica Michaels, ending her reign after holding the title for two years. Many celebs in the audience included Kimberly Adrian, Sheila Davis (Miss Gay Cleveland), Jennifer Phillips, Kari Nickels, Cristina Richards, Melissa Ross, Twiggy, and Heather Sinclair.

The evening's pageant offered three contestants: Amanda Payne, Deception, and Ginger Manchester. It was obvious that all three wanted this title. They were all nearly flawless on stage. Desiré served as the night's emcee, as well as performing.

The winners in the three categories were Ginger Manchester, for Talent; Deception, for Swimwear; and Ginger Manchester, for
